You guys with bows would be welcome around my town.
We have so many deer walking the streets it?s not funny.
I had to cut the grass today and before I did that I walked around and pickup the deer droppings. Not my favorite pastime. It?s funny the tourists think it?s wonderful to have them. The locals wish we could cull them. They eat all the flowers and love to munch on the cedar hedges. Too bad they don?t eat the grass. I would not have to mow so often.
As for Batman I had one of those lunch boxes with him and Robin on it.
Now Catwoman in the TV series was hot. Perrrrfect

With the price of beef these days I'm considering going and shooting something just so I can afford a darn steak

I buy a whole cow every spring (split it 3 ways with my brothers family and mom/dad) and save a ton of $$$. $1.29/lb hanging weight plus processing. I figure I pretty much am eating T-Bones at ground beef super dooper clearance prices. Good beef too!

Two whitetails added to the mix and the only meat I am buying through the year is chicken.

Well...at least next year you will have a chest freezer in the garage full of tasty perch and walleye fillets. (the omega 3 stuff is good for the offspring's brains

Salmon too, if you get Broadcast to let you troll behind his rig

I used to pretend I was the incredible Hulk back in the day. One time my mother caught me running down the major road near our house, clothes torn off, down to my skivvies, grunting, growling, and swinging. I liked being a kid. So glad I am all grown up and mature now

But, when we do see boats out and about she always asks "will your boat look like that when you are done with it?"

See, she still calls mine the ghetto boat. She really hopes things will get better.

Mine (wife) puts up with my tinkering and Starcraft obsession. The boat takes up a good portion of the driveway. She likes the fact it's an 18 footer so it's safer on the big lake.

She hates the fact it doesn't fit in the garage. She likes the safety of a bigger boat though. As long as I keep paying the bills and do the father thing she'll keep me and my boat.

Well I just counted it out, 23 more days and I will be heading to Michigans Upper half for opening week of gun season. I can not wait, its better than Christmas for me. This year we are trying something new for our living quarters. And this is relevant to the forum, cause once Im back its open season on the new boat shortly after.

Oh no, the wife loves the boats. She was really happy the other day when I said something about cleaning the garage out shortly, to which she said "great I can park my van back in there" and I said "well the boat is going to be coming in"....... slight bit of stink eye was received. Bahahaha!

Nice shack there CBGale2. I used to camp on the Au Sable for a week every mid October. We would hit the river below the Foote Dam for Salmon.

My family from down south would come up. Relatives from Georgia, North Carolina, and Oklahoma would brave the cold to take a few big Kings or Coho. Occasionally a 30 pounder would be caught. Great times I'll never forget, my Uncle is a little too old to make the journey now. I need to go south and hook up with my cousin in Ga for some striped bass.

And if I may address the original reason for this thread..

Back when I first got my Holiday..There was a core of us regular SC guys...
Rick Air Med, NB, Ezmobee, Bob VT, JimBc, MatthewP, Andy in NY, WVmedic, Wfraplas...Many others that are escaping me...

We were all going through similar issues and stages of fixing up our boats, we seemed to comment on each others threads daily and looked out for each other..But since we were/are restoring these tin tubs, we posted in the restoration forum and used the SC forum here for other networking and WELCOME TO type of posts..

Much like the new crowd of you young tinnies...a bunch of you remind me of our group of just a year or 2 ago, passing on what you know and welcoming each new tin head with open arms and a hearty WELCOME ABOARD!

Its all good though. Like I had said it just seemed like things were slowing down on here but it has been explained to me why.
I...I just (sniff) don't want to lose you guys. I have a lot of work ahead of me & my boat and I need someone other than my wife to call me stupid.
