Laker....there are two different types of alarm indicators. The original was a vibrating buzzer type horn which was replaced by an electronic tone type alarm.<br /><br />The buzzer type only had two wires going to it. The tan wire which came from the engine and a black which went to ground. This buzzer has a round body and may be metal or the later ones used plastic. This one should NOT have a purple wire going to it.<br /><br />The tone module would have a double purple wire going to the plus spade, a tan wire going to the other spade and a ground coming from the module itself. The shape of the module is a little strange...round horn with a square module attached is the best I can describe it.<br /><br />The tone modules will go bad. If you have a module, it's possible it went straight to ground and popped the ignition fuse on the engine. It's also possible with the buzzer type.<br /><br />If your not sure about the recifier, pull it off and test it. Yours should have one red and two yellow wires. You can test the rectifier with an ohm meter. Your manual will tell you how.<br /><br />Keep us posted as to what you find....thanks.
