Well, Ive made the deal to get a 64 Johnson thats dead ... but ... he said it ran great, smooth and strong, but crapped out the other week ...

its a forty horse, electric start (woo hoo! BIG BOAT stuff ... yeah yeah, the SeaCraft and the 125 Johnson are too far from running to count!!!)(even a new starter in that dammned SeaCraft, grumble)

But here is the question, I think its something simple, fuel pump died, carb sucked up some gunk, so I want to do a carb rebuild, fuel pump rebuild and get a complete tune kit from that eBay guy that sells the coils and points for fifty bucks ...

IN CASE ITS NOT SOMETHING SIMPLE ....

would the 35 powerhead bolt on to the 40? the 35 is a 1959, and the 40 is a 1964 ... they look like twins, prolly run like kissin cousins, lol, well, once they are RUNNING again ...

Get ready gang ... Ive installed the Garbage disposal, re did the plumbing my kid brother screwed up at the old mans house, car is running ok, hung the shelves, painted the rads and got that old piece of ship air conditioner stack at moms bar squared away (WHEW!, no wonder Im worn out!) basically shotgunned the Honey Do list ... time to turn some wrenches, lol, and Ill be throwing out lifelines like some guy on who wants to be a millionare being asked "whats the longest coastline in the world"?
(answer: Heeeeeeeeeeeeereeeee Johnny!! Ed McMahon coasted on that line for THIRTY YEARS!)
