according to my information.....hotd had 4000 posts and 60.000 views.

i think we will need spinner to actually verifiy any i boats records on that stuff......

The biggest thread was about me. Everybody listed one special attribute that they appreciated. It went on for years!

To the best of my knowledge, this is the largest post without pics that was within the guidelines of the forum rules. The HOTD thread was one of those straws that shook up DC to limit lots of content. Many, actually very many members with well over 5k posts left. DC has not been the same since. However it is oriented to keep things civil now. Good or bad, it doesn't matter to me......SS

I remember that going on. It got real out of hand and I myself quit hanging around for quite a while, while the hate mail calmed down. I pop in now and then to see what's happening.

Maybe I'll start spending more time here. I don't get myself in trouble with nearly naked girl pics popping up on my screen.

Well I don't think the Hotd thread was solely responsible for DC the way it is now. It was all the flamming, name calling, bitching contests that were almost an automatic occurence whenever a controversial subject, especially politics, was discussed.

Got out of hand? Are you serious? All the pics we tasteful with no nudity. You'd see worse things at any beach. But then again, maybe your offended by a beautiful woman in a bikini?

sold a boat and it busted is still going....cb is going back to court on monday.

it may reach 120,000 by the time its done....but right now its at some 62,300 ish with 785 replys.

the hull ext thread is at 91 thousand views and just over 2000 replys.

I'm not offended by beautiful women dressed scantely. I just don't need the temptation of wanting to see more and more and more. My wife is beautiful (if you ever saw the "show us pics of you" thread) and I don't need anything to draw my attention away. I try to think of what my wife would think if she caught me looking at those pics.

I'm a man, I have a pulse, therefore I can be tempted.

My attention can be drawn away because men frequently want what they don't have, even if what they do have is great.

I looked at the pictures because they were nice pics, but I realized that I started thinking about them in a bad way. I told my wife I looked at some pics I shouldn't have, then I stopped comming to this website for a long time, so I wouldn't be TEMPTED to look at them some more.

I just left another boating site because they started having a lot of nude pics on there, and I don't need to be tempted to look.

Now that this site is safe, I'll hang out here some more.

the mods here are really quick to keep this a family site......arguments and bashing are quickly put to a diffinitave end.

ball park rule of thumb here....if your 6 year old cant see or hear it.....its gone.
