Re: HOTD! was it the biggest thread??

I'm a man, I have a pulse, therefore I can be tempted.

My attention can be drawn away because men frequently want what they don't have, even if what they do have is great.

I looked at the pictures because they were nice pics, but I realized that I started thinking about them in a bad way. I told my wife I looked at some pics I shouldn't have, then I stopped comming to this website for a long time, so I wouldn't be TEMPTED to look at them some more.

I just left another boating site because they started having a lot of nude pics on there, and I don't need to be tempted to look.

Now that this site is safe, I'll hang out here some more.

My wife (and a few wives of friends also) have an attitude that goes like, "you can get your appetite anywhere... as long as you dine at home"... I think that's very health... My ex-GF had a completely different attitude, something like "If I catch you looking, I'll scratch your eyes out".... Ouch!

And I'm now guessing I'll get a 'friendly note' from a mod. :D

From this "I am looking at CB's thread and wondering what is the biggest thread in iboats history????"

To this "I'm a man, I have a pulse, therefore I can be tempted.

Re: HOTD! was it the biggest thread??

welcome back......

the mods here are really quick to keep this a family site......arguments and bashing are quickly put to a diffinitave end.

ball park rule of thumb here....if your 6 year old cant see or hear it.....its gone.

So a six year old can't see a woman in a bikini at a beach, on a boat or at the dock? Opps, yes they can. You'll are making it sound like it was a porno thread, it wasn't.
Just because some people can't control themselves or accept the world as it actually is, is not a valid reason to remove a thread.

I agree... And what is wrong with looking at nice pictures, regardless of the subject? I believe it's unreasonable women who cause men to feel guilty about this... and it's these same women who get all upset when their men do stray... and little wonder. Read my previous post... A relationship should be about trust and honesty. If I told my wife I don't look at nice pictures, she'd know I was lying... So, sometimes we look at them together. And there is nothing wrong with that... it's normal! A lot of very conservative people will tell you that it is wrong to even think about nice pictures, but they deny the truth... we all think about those things... Men and women....

Re: HOTD! was it the biggest thread??

plainsmen.......

as L-T pointed out.......the point of this thread is to see what was the biggest in i boats history.....somehow...it has turned into why was hotd deleted and why cant we look at babes in bikinis...

the truth is.....we do not own this site....it is not our sandbox.

we....are guests here...(even tho we are called "members")
the person-(s) that own the site have asked that his site be free of scantly clad babes in bikinis....AKA....T&A.

so it does not matter if we think it was ok to look at the pics.....the owner just plain ol said "no".....just as if someone was to ask to smoke in a non smoking veichile.....he does not want smoke in his veichicle....

bud, i see your passion for wanting to understand....but its just not allowed any more.....so anything we say is just moot.

and I agree with all this too.... He who owns the site, make the rules.
My point was that some people get upset even if the rules allow...

Why is everybody disrespecting 57? So the guy thinks it's disrespectful to his lady when he looks at other women that way... that's between them. Suddenly he is supposed to conform to society when deciding his moral standards? Why not just respect his values and commend him for doing what he thinks is right.

Hey J.R.!!

I knew about it from the start, I was there before you. I am actually pretty good at corntrolling myself(like the cornpone?), but I'm very conservative on looking at "such" pics. Can anyone tell me they don't look at those pics wishing they could see more?

Anyway, to me, I'll just try to stay away the best I can. I'm not perfect (by far), but I don't miss looking.

Now, I sent you a pm about gringo. What was he bad mouthing me for????

Now that I know you left there I guess he wasn't actually bad mouthin' ya like I thought he was.

It was a typical Gringo stir the s... deal (nothing really).

I understand yer position on girly pics, just please don't try to regulate others or encourage cencorship! :D

Did ya leave over yonder over girls, (as Eric thinks), or was it soemthin' else?

Respectfully, JR

I'm jus chidin' him on censorship.

I position I cornsistently hold. :D

I know he is a good guy n' a bit of a bible thumper. I wish I was a good a person as he obviously is, (actually I'm glad I'm not quite that strict).

He is actually very quiet n' supportive, (as most of us hopefully know).

Hey 57 ... you got support in this corner. I know I wouldn't want my wife or daughter to walk in and see me looking at those pics ... so when I saw what the thread was about I quit going there ...

I think "freedom" is a misunderstood liberty. It must come with responsibility, or it is destructive. We all know our forefathers loved freedom and died for it.

But, even with freedom, they set certain limits (boundaries, restraints) in order for all to enjoy those freedoms.

Even censorship is a must at some level. For example, spouting hate that leads to hate crimes, war mongering rhetoric, defamation of character causing harm to another, these all can lead to destructive results and can be punishable by law (and should be in my opinion).

We have certain rules in place because, left unchecked, freedom can be abused. I am giving extreme examples to make the point of "self control and responsibility" as a must when exercising freedom.

Even as a bible thumper:)D), I realize that freedom is given to us from above, but with that, rules within that freedom are also given.

Re: HOTD! was it the biggest thread??

Here's the other side of the coin. My wife is a good woman, and good looking as well, at least in my eye's, and she doesn't mind if I look, as long as I don't touch. I respect that, and I'm not obsessed with looking either, but being older, & diabetic, with issues that go with both of these, it doesn't do much for me anyway  :( My wife is the best medicine in that regard, being sweet, & attractive! but once in awhile, if something catches me, and cause me to stir, It just draws me closer to her, & helps me appreciate her even more in that regard, it actually is a win, win, situation, and she is fine knowing that as well. Some of you younger guys may not relate to this, because you're like the battery "Everready", but when you get older and your drive starts to go away, you will appreciate the times that something actually on occasion causes you to get a stirring ;) So, as for the HOTD thread, I can look and appreciate it for what it is, without getting out of control, or considering it vulgar, after all it's not full nudity, or raw porn  it's just suggestive.

57 i completely agree with you :D
as a somewhat younger member of the group (mid 40's) i am really surprised that so many people forget that FREEDOM of any kind is a privilege and not a right.
and as such must be respected and guarded against abuse
