ok, so i frankensteined a motor, and put a 2 wire tilt and trim unit on a manual tilt motor, and for all intensive purposes i put a 6 prong 2 way toggle switch on it, just to test its operation on the boat.
now the question is, how do i wire it up right???
the reason i say that, is the switch acts like it wont let enough current come thru it, the tilt motor always run slow and the motor acts like its a strain to pick up, BUT when i hook the two pump wires straight to a hot battery, it races up and down like it should.
a friend told me to use two old ford starter solenoids, and after finding a diagram on how to wire it up like that, it didnt work and i realized the diagram showed a 3 wire pump, where i have a 2 wire pump.
im pretty much at a loss, can it be wired up with the two starter solenoids? or do i need something else? what do i do?
