I knew my post would flame some of you.<br />Whatever you want to call it it happens.<br />So the buyer paid an extra $5 or $10 on an item. I wasn't typing on their keyoard just mine.<br />Usually the reason I would bid an item up was because an exact item(s) that previously sold on ebay in the same or worse condition sold for more $ than what I was getting and I thought it was b.s..<br />I was scraping by at the time and needed all the money I could get.<br />If ebay is really looking out for Buyers how come the guy that almost ripped me off never ended up going to jail? I know he didn't because he posts on a local bass fishing web site and he never missed a beat submitting posts in the forum section. <br /><br />Thats why you don't bid until the last minute. Everytime I see two people going back on forth bidding an item up when there's 5 days left on an it I just wonder how stupid two people can get.<br /><br />My feedback is around 400 with only one neutral.<br />If someone wasn't happy with an item I would give a full refund with shipping costs or replace it with usually something better (how many sellers do that? NONE).<br />I've been burned approximately 5 times on ebay from worthless sellers. They misrepresent their junk and never offer a refund. I hardly won't buy anything off there anymore unless its brand new and the seller has good feedback.<br /><br />Ryan T., if that luggage rack doesn't receive any bids by the last day pull it. Than relist for a $1 with a reserve close to what it is worth.<br />I hate reserve auctions but they do work if someone really wants the item.<br />Also, Ebay is about timing. Something might be worth $100 one month and $50 the next (usually seasonal stuff like a jacket or a boat motor).<br />Shine the items up, make sure the pic's turn out nice and in the item description tell them what they want to hear without going overboard.<br />Ebay "101" is done for the evening. I'll respond to any negative posts tomorrow.

There are several car auctions within a 100 mile vicinty of me and its going on at everyone of them. If I go there on a regular basis I see many of the cars that were supposedly sold at the the previous auction back up for bids.<br />I've heard that if someone bids and wins their own car at one of these auctions that they have to pay the auction house $100 and can retry and sell it at a later time. <br />These are auctions that sell merchandise for city and countys including police departments. The police sure aren't racing down to these auctions and writing tickets.<br /><br />(Edited by Mod4)

Someone asked on a bass fishing website that I frequent if it was ok to intentionally break a Loomis rod so he could could get a replacement rod of a different length/action. Loomis also charges $50 to replace the broken rod.<br />Alot of people left posts saying that was fraud and said stuff to the guy that wasn't to pleasant.<br />They were basically saying that this guy is a thief and would not associate with such a person.<br />This guy hadn't done anything wrong yet but these people were condemning him for his thoughts.<br />Without a doubt everyone of those people that left negative responses to this guy has done something worse than breaking a rod and paying to have it replaced, yet they ran their mouths like they were better than him. <br />These people are the type that "Do as I say and not as I Do". I suspect that is also the case here.<br />So you can't judge a person on what they say.<br />When I left the first post I knew several of you would blast me for it. Just like you now know that I "shilled bid" in the past I now know something about some of you guys.

No, I just try really hard on this forum not to **** people off. <br /><br />On other forums in the past when I just let someone have it we get into a war, people like to fight with me online and I often don't help, just ask JB :D <br /><br />I'm also at school right now, so I've been being nice to people all day.

Well Jay say what you will about us. Fact is, I make my living off eBay. I am a Silver Powerseller with over 2500 and have may repeat customers so my actual positives are over 3,000. When people do things to undermine the integrity of the trading community it affects my ability to make an honest living. I don't want anybody to read your post and think is ok to committ fraud and further errode my ability to make a lving. If you are afraid your item will not sell for a fair price set the starting bid high or spend the $1 or so for a reserve auction.
