I am advanced and my wife and oldest son are full tech.
20 word per minute code is the reason I never even tried for extra. Took me 3 tries to pass the 13 word per minute.
Today no longer need the 20 word per minute for extra.
I afraid cell phones will be the end of ham radio. At least out here the Vhf bands use is way down.

They're all No Code now. I guess it's a good thing for newcomers but still a valuable skill to learn.

I already checked in as 65bigfish but I was wondering if any of you are using your ham gear as marine radios as well? If so which models are you using?
