I have a 2000 130 horsepower johnson.Im getting water in two top cylinders{#1-#2}.i did comp test before pulling heads and all cyl were 135-145 psi. When i pulled heads and examined gasket there was a perfect seal,no breaches found.this all came about when i noticed the engine running very cold{discharge indicator stream never gets even warm!}Could the block have cracked over the winter,I thought all water drains out in down position. In the leaking cylinders one of the ports is very milky, but not sure if intake or exhaust.does looper have 2 exhausts and 3 intakes.Where else can this water be coming from if not the head gasket or a crack? Before i pull apart

Although I am not familiar with your particular engine, I believe that a leak in the exhaust cover gasket will let water into the cylinder, especially after you shut down. That may explain the mayonaisse in the exhaust port. Pull the exhaust cover which is water cooled and check the seal and you may find the problem. A simple fix if the bolts come out easy.

Unfortunately it doesnt have a removable exhaust cover.

Did you try new head gaskets as suggested in your other post? Its very hard to follow your progress when you start another thread.

Good luck!

Lets try the new gaskets first. There are many options after that. A new block - a remanufactured powerhead - tear yours down, if needed, and weld.

Good luck!

Tried the new head gaskets but no luck, removed the voltage regulator to take a peek in the water jacket but i dont seem to locate any cracks or holes. If there is a crack somewhere would the water entering the cylinder cause the engine to run so cold.{dicharge indicator is stone cold}heads are luke warm at best.
