If you search iboats forums, you will find very accurate instructions from years ago on this procedure. The HARDEST part will be getting the Lower Unit off if it has not been done for over 3 years. Some of these oldies did not have a Stainless steel drive shaft and became stuck in the top spline.
Also, there are a few details pertaining to each model such as the gear selector shaft connection and what gear is best to leave the motor in for both removal and installation. Make sure you lightly grease the top spline and line up the water tube. Don't lose the impeller key..

It's a three step process. 1) Drop lower unit. 2) Disassemble pump and replace impeller. 3) Reinstall lower unit. If you need more help than that, you need a service manual for your engine. You can find them at your local library, or you can buy them on line.
