Personally I would rather turn 5600rpm than 5900rpm. But, you have to know how you plan to use the boat. If you have to have quick acceleration or are pulling a large load then the 17 pitch is going to help. But, for general use based on your numbers I like the 19" pitch better if you have a habit of running full throttle. I dont have any problem staying off WOT though so the 17 pitch wouldnt scare me personally but I'd becertain I could count on my tach before I'd want to see anything approaching 6000rpm.

I would use the 17 pitch hands down unless that extra top end is important to you. Your motor doesn't mind reving up and it is easier for it to spin the 17 without lugging.

+1 I have always believed that the idea is to get as close to the max rated RPM at WOT without going over.

I believe that the 17 would be better for the motor life since them motor will spin easier and will not be near as likely to lug at lower speeds. Two strokes like rpm's they are not torque monsters.

will they eat the same fuel at same speed even though the rpm's will be higher on the 17

Actually the 3 liter finger ported motors do make good torque. If the boat were mine I'd work the set up to get the 19 close to 6000. That will give you the most efficiency.

not ques yur skills but i would have to put new bolt holes in to move it up more its all the way up on the slots its a 93 2000 cc hydra sport vector with deep sides 2650lbs w/o motor ill get pics to post just wont to get the best all around performance out of this boat had it back out today with 19p trim all the way up with out cav and hit 5650 @44.7 on gps

I know exacly what boat it is, nice rig. I had a 22 Vector a couple of years ago. I added a hydraulic jackplate and got some pretty good performance out of it. f you can trim all the way up and the 19" prop still stays hooked up without venting the motor can go up. Even if you added a manual jackplate. We ran a 17 Turbo on our 22' with the 200 Evinrude. A good 19 on your rig should work really well.

this a stock old ss prop in good shape not really any cup so if i went with a high perf 17 with some cup might be better

Junior, you seem to be having a time figuring which one to use.
