I don't get sick often but when I do, I'm really bad about it. I turn in to a big baby and whine... a lot.

I have the flu and I want to die... BLLLAAAAARRRRRGGGHH!!!!!!!

I've been in bed for the most part since Sunday. I went to the doctor yesterday, and was told I should stay in bed until Monday.

I'm bored out of my mind, fidgety, stuffy, hot, cold, achy, and overall, just feel terrible.

So, just for fun, and to keep me from going stir-crazy, what are some home remedies you use when you're laid up in bed?

The best one I know of is for a sore throat - make strong, hot tea, with honey, and hot pepper. It tastes horrible, but it'll make your throat feel much better.

WHHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's always greener on the other side.......... I'm at work wishin' for a week in bed!!!!! I've found there are no remedies, only stuff that masks some symptoms for a few hours. I usually just sip a single malt until I feel better or pass out. Either way, I win!!!!!!

Lemon juice and honey. Heavy doses of vitamin C. Moderate doses of vitamin Scotch. Homemade chicken soup.

A little silver lining: You have someone to whine and snivel at, jsfinn. When you live alone you have to get up and get it yourself. :(

Flu always makes me very tired. For me it's chicken soup, movies/discovery channel and lots of sleep. Aleve/Naproxin works well for me for body aches. Alkaseltzer Plus Cold and Flu helps lessen the symptoms for me as well but it doesn't last very long. I also drink a lot of grapefruit juice and V8.
