The Admiral says I can go LOOK again. This is 50 miles away. I called and confirmed it's available and In his back yard TODAY. I get off @ 3:00 and have made an appointment for 5:00 pm to drive up to his house and take a look-see!!! I'm thinking if she's in really good shape I may just do some cosmetics on her and the trailer over the winter and try and sell her in the spring as a money making project and to kinda learn about Tin Boats a bit. But who knows...I might like em!!! We'll see how it goes. I'm gunna shoot for $500 and see how it goes.

Nah, I was just kiddin' ya. You'll have a bigger chance of cutting yourself with one of the tools than on the boat.

You don't see too many port helms like that boat has, I wonder how it performs out on the water with just the operator on board.

Looks like those 2 pieces of plywood are shot and you could put a deck in it if you want with those elevated ribs instead of the "rib cage" style.

I like it and it looks like it has potential for a "sit down/ride around" boat.

Yeah I was thinking a nice planked deck coated with epoxy and Marine Varnish with some sprinkled sand would look good and some new Seat Tops Padded and Upholstered, and a Nice wood veneered dash. New Paint job, Spit and Polish and somebody might wanna drag her home . Ad doesn't say if the motor runs and I didn't ask him either. If I can buy her right and not spend to much time or money on Makin' her Purdy!!!! I might actually make some Money!!! But for sure could have some fun and maybe learn a few things too!!!;)

Woody, that's a classic looking boat and should feel like she flies with that 30hp on back. Can't tell for certain but does that thing have wood rub rails on it?

I like how the hull tapers in the rear, and that the windshield is not too large for the boat like some classics can be. It's cool! Whenever I feel like going to the "other side", I crush an aluminum can on my forehead then continue grinding fiberglass :)

Back earlier this summer there was an early 1950's Mirrocraft runabout close by on CL that I was going to post up. Very clean unrestored tinney with a wood decked bow, wood rubrails, original windshield and a TeeKnee trailer. Very cool looking boat and they were not asking an arm'n leg for it.

I'll guess it's in your driveway already! Looks like a neat little rehabber. How much you asking for it?

Well...He called and cancelled for yesterday and today. Me and the Admiral are gunna try and go up tomorrow afternoon. He works Nights and Saturdays soooo we'll see how it pans out. Good news is...We're gunna try and splash the BF this evening if the Admirals Knee is not swollen to bad. She's scheduled for her 3rd Knee Replacement on Oct. 7th. She had the 1st one replaced 12 yrs ago and it's wore out. She's fallen 3 times already so it's time to get it done. She wants to try and go one last time before the surgery soooo we'll see how she feels around 5:00 today. If we go I'll get pics and vids this time. Hope we get to got see that boat tomorrow. The more I look at it the more I like it. I asked him more details yesterday, It does have wood rails, motor ran two years ago and boat did not leak last time in water. this could be a WINNER!!!

Like the song.....Anticipation..... I remember when my dad had his 1 knee replaced and all the pain he was in at the time. That was @ a8 years ago. he swore he'd never go back for the other one. But guess waht, he had the same 12 year warranty and it practically crashed the same day.
To make it short, he went back in and got both of them done and was up and walking in like 2 days out of the hospital the same. The procedure has come a long way! Good luck to the Misses!
Now where the heck is that tin pc. of AdoubleScribble? get a tetnas shot.
