Before I start I wanna say I'm completely new to boating I brought this boat about 6 months ago and I knew it needed a new transom .I have a 80 something Cobia Triton 228 ,I wanna say 84?..not too sure on the year but anyways when I rock the motor a little you can see the transom somewhat give out ..its pretty weak .My biggest concern its getting the the wood out . I plan on pouring seacast . I can't be talked out of seacast , I've made my mind on that . How do I get all the wood out ,I understand how to get out most of the wood but how would I get out the wood stuck to the resin and the fiberglass . I was guessing I would have to use some type of chisel or something . but is there a easier way or should I not be too concerned about getting out every last piece of wood . If I end up doing this my self should I put new drain holes in my self or reuse the ones already on the boat . Man , I have alot of questions ....
If anyone of ya'll are from around the Mobile or Baldwin county area and want to help me out , feel free to lend a hand .I'll return the favor if ever needed . Thanks.
