As far as water goes, I got to think about freezing temperatures, which is not far off. I ordered a new jack (8,000 lbs)

One of these days soon, I'm going to have a good breakfast and lift the boat off the trailer and scoot the trailer forward a couple of feet. Might get a tongue weight scale just to be sure of the weight.

How many times do you plan to move it?

If you use water and drain after each move, no freezing

You could always use sand bags as indicated, or store the two motors on the swim platform

Ibc tote is open top, treat like a pool maybe add a bag of salt. But... you wanted, and did order, a way overkill peice of equipment so have fun but I'm not a smart guy so if you are planning 8k at the tongue can the rest of the trailer structure handle the weight shift away from the axles? Keeping weight where the trailer was designed to handle the load seems sensible. Transferring to a long span maybe not? Again, it's math and I barely graduates high school in a class of 26....

Thanks guys . . . I did not think about using water to counter balance.

Of course 2,200 lbs of water is 35 cubic feet or 4' x 4' x 2' . . . I might be able to figure something out . . .

Yes, just need to see if I can find the right amount of weight . . . assuming that the re-power shop wouldn't adjust the trailer tongue weight. (worst case is that I have to add some weight in the bow to bring the boat home after the engines are put on)

I have ordered a new tongue jack and an 1,800 lb ball weight scale.

I ordered a bunch of stuff today . . .

6(six) 4'x8' sheets of Coosa board arriving tomorrow. Fiberglass supplies arriving later in the week. I got VE resin for $72/gallon, which I thought was not too bad.

Another item of business . . .

I need to get the anti-fouling paint off of the transom area where the extension pod will mate to it.

I've been using this stuff on the outdrives . . .

It is 'non-caustic' so it does not hurt the anodized coating of the outdrives as you can see below. It lifts the paint but does not harm the anodizing below it.

The hull, being fiberglass, is probably more tolerant of caustic paint removers. I have used a product called 'Peel Away' in the past and it was fairly decent. . . took a long time (days) of soaking into the paint though . . .

Anyway, who's got a favorite paint removal product ? Ideally, I'd like to put it on and pressure wash it off a day or 2 later.

40 grit on the DA, followed by 80 grit for cleanup

So all the paint strippers dad used are banned now (for good reason) though they did work well... to the point they'd actually attack the gel if left too long. I haven't had to strip a hull... My friend used the smart strip you used coupled with a pull scraper. Took a couple days but went right to gel.

Peel away and soy strip I've also seen used but none of them do very well with high build.
