You can have the death penalty if I can have it on the greyhound beheading.

I wonder if the boat that they're looking for is on the bottom of the river?

Shameful in my opinion. I feel sorry for those in the Whaler as they really didn't know what hit them until it was too late. Really sad..............SS

Some people do not take responsibility serious enough until it is too late.

I feel  about the whole thing BUT after being hit and run buy cars twice am not supprised at all

The facts i can see here is that the boat in the picture was hit on starboard and had four adults who should ALL have been keeping a lookout

As in all the other cases i have seen IT was a matter of 1 second and they would have hit the OTHER boat on the port side

If they were both underway, the damage would indicate this was the skipper of the Whaler's fault . . . his responsibility to avoid boats approaching starboard bow? It doesn't change the tragedy or the hit and run stuff . . .

If that hadn't been a Boston Whaler there probably would have been more than one death.

I withhold judgement on who caused the crash until and unless I know the whole story.

However the crash happened (There is no such thing as an accident. There is only premeditated negligence), the one who left the scene without offering assistance needs severe penalties. I see zero chance that (s)he didn't notice.

It is not respectfully, but respectively . . . which means the ages are listed in the same order as the corresponding names . . . ;)

Re: I support the death penalty for this

I noted fault only as part of the discussion . . . I knew that would ruffle some feathers, but I thought it was worth introducing to the thread as the damage indicates a strike from the starboard side. This is a boating site, and I thought rules of the road were and are relevant.

I also think JB's "There is no such thing as an accident. There is only premeditated negligence" would make an interesting thread topic. I actually tend to agree, but it seems too black and white to me . . . more like a whole bunch of shades of grey . . .

It is a Shame! but, regardless of who was at fault, It's pretty sad that the other operator, didn't stop, and render assistance! I wonder if alcohol was a factor as to why? Either way he decided to cut, & run, so as not to be caught! I guess figuring I'll be sober tomorrow, nobody will know then.
