Re: IBOATS GET TOGETHER
ok, here's the sad story.

my employer is "consolidating" my position to our new san diego office. everybody else here (in the indy office) has already been canned or shipped out. I was of course, offered to keep my job and relocate, but,... with no cost of living adjustment. i sniffed things out a bit, to look for comparable living arrangements. my shed in the hills of s. central indiana was $126K 5 years ago. almost but not quite comparable place in the san diego area (feb 2001 when i last checked) was $1.025M!! turned down their offer. I was asked to stay until the lease is up on the indy facility. use the time to train my replacement. not a problem. decided to do that. the interesting thing is, my replacement, i really like the guy! kinda feel sorry for him. he already bought a place in san diego. now he's got a 2nd job so that he can afford to live there. he spends about 1/3 of his time in indy.

anyway, as may have been discerned, i've been looking for a new gig for over a year now. no luck yet but still hopefull. IF something comes along in time, NO question 'bout it! i/we WILL be there. if something doesn't come along, well then,..... well, lets just play-it-by-ear and assume i'll be there.

on a more cheerfull not, kid number2 picked up a junk 3-wheeler a while back. saturday, i got her goin'. both of us were THRILLED! 'bout 9:25 pm i couldn't stand it -no-more, so i hopped on & took her for a spin. 'bout 9:30 pm i was layin' in a ditch, on my back, with a three wheeler on top of me. 'bout 12:20 pm the doctor told me that both, bones in the left fore-arm, the "radius" and the "ulna" are broken.

lots of good news though.
1- i get the "cast" put on today.
2- the three-wheeler is Fine.
3- the good lord saw to it, in his infinite wisdom, not to let the head, back or neck break.
4- i didn't have to cut or split any wood yesterday

Lake of the Ozarks this year.
Really lookin' forward to puttin' faces and hand-shakes to these odd handles.

Pullin' a toy? we'll see what develops before i commit to that.

Good Luck (to us ALL)
HAVE FUN

p.s. read this slowly. typin' this with one hand took a while so i want it to last.
