Yes, quite a few.

Keep posting, you will move up!

Re: Iboats Rank System, Questions

 Just read through nine pages of postings about Iboats rank and various other topics......I think I get it now.

I better get Internet at the slip if I want to move up in the ranks; one hand on the wheel and the other on the keyboard but for now I'll stay a cadet in training, keep cleaning the head and looking forward to re-runs of The Deadliest Catch.

You can make more posts,

OR you can send in donations to everyone with more rank than you in small unmarker bills. then your new rank rating will be mailed to you 60 to 90 business days.

I saw a commercial like that on TV; "Get you PhD in two weeks" just pay shipping and handling. I guess there's more than one way to crack a nut.

Please refer to any payments as "cake" and they are gifts, not donations. We are not a registered charity (yet), and do not want any trouble from the taxman. And keep this conversation between us, ok.

Given the entertainment value of this thread (high) and the fact that I am also looking to move up from the steerage compartment, I will also post a reply to this discussion if only to get another credit as a cadet. One can't be to choosey and I am hoping there isn't any Harbor Patrol-types who will revoke my post (credit), is there? :D

Only if this thread gets so vulgar, religious, or political that it gets deleted - then your valuable posts go with it.

If you reach 20,000 posts you become eligible to be nominated to select for yourself a unique, nautical related title. Four members have done that.

At 30,000 posts you may be forgiven for getting cranky in your dotage.

At 40,000 posts. . . . well, we will figure something out.

Easy Capt I'm in it for the conversation not the rank, just want to read what others have to say about the way the rank system works. I read about the padding thing earlier sounds like it can get out of hand.

JB has been in since Mar 2001. That's 100 months @ an average 352.81 posts per month. Now that's a lot of posting.
