I have a 1987 Yamaha 90 ETLH motor and am in the process of replacing just about every part above the head above the block due to severe corrosion. I suppose the prior owner did not believe in maintenance as large chunks of metal were totally gone. While I have the head off, I would like to replace the two internal anodes but they seem to be corroded in place. I managed to get the screws out using an impact driver. I'm thinking I might have to resort to a small drill or something. I have already purchased the new screws and anodes and notice they have an odd shape with long legs that protrude into the block. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
In addition, I would like to thank Rodbolt, Ray, JB and other excellent minds who post on this iboat forum. I've come a long way in a few weeks of wrenching on this thing and have certainly gotten tremendous benefit from doing nothing but reading the good advice. Thanks again to all!
