Right on! And to back-up what JB just stated,
I offer a bit of proof.
I esspecially like the internal link to all the Iraqi ministries in Iraqi control. It warms my heart.

I'm not trying to change your minds, just offering facts to fill an obvious VOID. Enjoy your own opinions.

Thanks 12Footer. :)

Sometimes I want to just quit answering trolls by naive and angry people who don't have a clear picture, only the distorted picture some leftist planted in their heads.

You have that 100% correct JB. Anyone that cannot see that has self-installed blinders on. Thanks for what you have done for our country!

Mikeandronda, you can accuse the saddam leadership of many crimes, but not of being religious fanatics. They were very secular. This crime was committed by religious zealots that would have been killed under Saddam. There were very many terrible things going on in Iraq under Saddam, but chaos was not one of them. That one started the day we stood by and let the Irakis loot everything in sight.

You simply cannot rewrite history this current without getting a speeding ticket. You must at least wait until one generation is past before trying that.

But in case you truely forgot, do you know what Abu Greib was before coalition forces used it for naked baathist mutant ninja pyramid parties?
erum..I mean "torture"? A hint; Sadamn and his kids owned it.
That's right. Sadamn is currently on trial for war crimes. His sons are ash. He lost, but not before many of his countrymen, women and children died horrifically at the hands of Sadamn and his sadist Bathist droogies.
Oh yeah, rolmops..He sure was a law-n-order guy when he reigned his country so benevolently (gag)
puke.gif

Another important fact you cannot deny (well, i guess you may anyway),is that he is in lockdown... and his sweet sons havent "won" anytihng I can think of in about a year and a half!

Oh yea, we're loosing.

Re: Iraq War

12footer,it is very true that they have not won anything.they are dead.As for the Irakis,if there is such a thing, they do not have to win.All they need to do is cause enough trouble to get the foreigners out. Then they will fight it out amongst themselves along tribal lines. The arab world will support the sadam sunni tribes while Iran will half heartedly support the shias. The sunnies will win and we will be back at stage one and everybody will hate us.But what about the Kurds you ask? Turkey,Syria,Jordan and Iran do not want independent kurds. These countries will destroy the Kurdish unity.
You can call that a victory if you wish, but I have a different name for it.

rolmops
I been saying that since before 03,
since the war plans were made known that to few with to little were not going to be able to do enough. and sure enough lightening quick and shock and awe were useless yet again.
this latest thing about Haditha is not going to help at all if its proven true.
in fact it will most likly unravel everything.
I pray its all a lie and the original marine story is the truth, if not Iraq is a done deal.

Re: Iraq War

I love it. I support the troops but they are all losers. No way skilled and trained personal can overcome obstacles. Please share with us how we have black communities, Mexican communities and we will never be able to blend.. Heck they are just too stupid. Listen to the smart people and just don't try. Quit, surrender, run away, all wonderful suggestions from the party of higher wisdom.

Let's support our troops, lets look at their day to day and celebrate their sucesses, and help overcome all obsticales. Let stop pretending that we really want them to win, win while we are cheering on their rivals. It is all so sad when we look at how we need to empower those who have little experience with freedom. But if socialism is what you are looking to forward, this backbiting is what you get.

Please support our troops, and quit underminding what they are attempting to accomplish. They deserve better.

Re: Iraq War

Hello pointer. The difference between you and me is that there was Iraki dust in my boots before this war ever started. So call it what you want, but keep your eyes wide open and do not put any colored lenses on them.To compare mexicans or black communities that want to live the american dream to the arabs who do not want us to interfere in their lifes makes absolutely no sense.

Re: Iraq War

our troops are for the most part 99.99% wonderful. they just have had pissy poor top civilian support and planning.
even the planners admit they royally pooched it. whats funny is they have nt attempted to unpooch it and we just get more of the same.
even funnier the poochers got medals instead of pink slips.

Of all the flawed premises in the leadup to this war, and our foreign policy, the biggest probably is the notion that democracy brings peace and prosperity.

If anything like that is true, it is that peace and prosperity can bring democracy.

Democracy has brought us Adolf Hitler, and Hamas in Palestine, that Idiot in Iran, Chavez in Venezuela, among others.

Who knows what "democracy" will bring in Iraq, but I think I'm with 12Feetz and Murtha: Declare victory and get the heck out.

I guess a good old-fashioned dictatorship like Stalin's or polpot's would be the way to go,huh?
Or maybee an empire? After all, Rome lasted for a long time by just taking-over it's nieghbors.
I don't know tho... It didn't werk well for hitler, did it?

I hate repeating myself, but you missed something vital to understanding my position...So re-read (if interested).
So call the new Iraqi government anything you like, but give them a small chance. Give them liberty, or give them a new "space-lord mullah mullah".
(sorry, that song is stuck in me head).

Re: Iraq War

I know, we can send Rumsfeld and Rice so they can lead Iraq,
yep I vote for rumsfeld and rice as prsesident and VP of Iraq.
would take care of several problems at once and just think of the leg up that amount of genius planning would bring to that poor country.
