I took these photos with my Canon Rebel XTi SLR digital camera and a Tameron 300mm telephoto lens at the 2008 Sertoma Cajun Air Festival last weekend!

Very cool!!!
Great pictures!
I have the same camera with the stock lens and can't get shots that nice.
Will have to look into a better one.
Nice work LTF!![]()
Thanks! It's actually a "kit" lens from a kit that came with the camera when I bought it from sunshine electronics. It's about a 150 dollar lens that I ended up getting free. The standard kit lens for the Rebel XTi is horribly substandard and really holds the camera back from what it is capable of. I had to take it to a camera shop the day before the airshow and get the sensor cleaned because it had a damn dot on the side of each photo. Well anyway, he told me the best lenses for it are Canon lenses. He said you might find a decent off brand lens but the best are the Canons. I asked him how you could tell a good lens he said "by the price." I guess you get what you pay for!
Tameron makes a few good ones, pretty good for the price you pay. If you want the information on the lens I used to take those photos let me know. I can give you the info so you can look for it online.
And yes I have thousands of photos from the airshow. I took a total of 2094 photos in a matter of about 3 hours.
