so, I have been toying with the idea because Monishka drafts 3ft, to build a lil fishing boat but wanted to use a jetski setup.

A friend donated to me a 750 ss jetski that's been sitting awhile so I found a donor boat yesterday boat and trailer 350.00 supposedly a 1967 rebel boat however it looks to me like a conversion from a runabout to a cap removed fishing boat from long ago.
Hull in good shape but I am gutting it anyways so I didn't care what the floor was like was going to go and build a wooden boat for this but decided hey atm me and carpenter bee's are already fighting over occupancy on monishka so id rather not do that with 2 boats!

After seeing your last build, I'm thinking this is going to be interesting... and nothing like anything any of us are imagining.

imma put my crazy away and try to keep it in check lol but not gonna lie I was eyeballing the extra sterndrive I had and thinking hmm , lol but it would defeat the purpose lol so far today I have removed two floors from the boat ... got to love the quick fix however both floors looked to be 10 plus years old so id say he got his money out of it :) honestly I'm just looking to make a decent fishing crabbing boat so I don't mess other one up everyone keeps saying its too nice looking for that, maybe they being kind but ill take it :)

Going along for the ride.....there was a thread a while back where a collage student was grafting a jetski motor into a boat. Ill see if I can find it...

So this is what you were after when our conversation got cut off ... Sorry I was in a bad cell spot or maybe you were idk ..
Why not just add a casting deck to the wave runner ? :D
Will that motor in the WR be big enough to push that boat around ? Seems to me it would be much easier to fix the rotten boat and hang a tiller on there and go fishin ! But then we couldn't watch you stick the WR motor in there and watch it go fly around the creeks ! :pop2:
Gunna be an interesting project !
Btw , get you a tennis racquet and go after those bees like John Mcenroe !!

now for the grinding and stringer 1 stringer replacement lol actually I think I will modify that a bit to make things fit better
original glass work looks like hell however it is a 1967 so .... I think it proves looks don't always account for longevity lol

How much of the hull bottom needs to be cut out ? Or does it ?
I know very little how a jet ski propulsion system works . All I know is water goes in somehow and then squirts out really fast .

He essentially has to cut out such that the portion of jet ski will drop through the hole.

Neat project Micky! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with this.
I've read some articles and seen some pictures about what people have put PWC drives into. Some are just beautiful.
