Re: LONE SURVIVOR
Ahoy SBN--my post WAS NOT intended to start a shouting match---and most respectfully not a shot at you or your pups. I do believe that I did not post what my beliefs are, as irrelevant as mine my be.

I had hoped this post would draw the reasons people choose to own these breeds. Kind of like, why do you choose a Merc or whatever.

Reasons could be looks, nature, family history, so on.

Since some have posted their experiences or history (not the intention here)I've had three in my life so far.
#1-"Oliver"-my families wirehair terrier as a kid--hated mini-bikes, want the dog to come-fire mini up and Ollie came pronto, biting front tire to kill. Real good dog, died old age.
#2-"Sam"-my first dog as a young adult. P Bull/Samoyed mix--fine as a young pup, more and more aggressive as he aged. Fine w/ me and select few--untrustworthy with others. Bit a guy in the foot once at boat launch. And pizza delivery guy who came into mud room unexpectedly. Final bite, at 6 years old, was a younger girl (17-18), bare foot, drew blood--10 day quarantine--put down. God did I feel bad, kinda like a pop went wrong and real bad for girl.
#3-"Roxxi Blu"--PB Black Lab-six and one half now-sweetest pup. Loves all, GREAT with my kids.

Perhaps SBN, my post may have been viewed as inflammatory to the breeds mentioned due to use of "attack" dogs. Bad choice, sorry all.

(edit) btw "Chance" looks excellent. Real nice coloring healthy and great build.
Also, my neighbors have Rotti, "Bentley", a stately old boy, fat and gentle. Awhile back a cousins family had "Bud", a Rotti/Lab mix--another sweet pup. Passed naturally.
