He'd probably smack me if I only offered $4500.:watermelon:
So what if he did? If my father taught me anything there is no such thing as an embarrassing offer. He once bought a condo in Florida for 30K and they were asking 50. He offered $25000.00. A wealthy family selling Grand Ma's condo that she would never move from and they just wanted to get rid of it.
All he can say is no. Condition isn't everything but it is important. A mint condition K car isn't worth much. That Capri wouldn't get $5000.00 CDN here. It's just a fact. When he upgraded the outboard he put too much money into the boat and now wants to get it back, he won't and has to come to terms with that fact. It's 24 years old. If he was smart he should pop an older 90 horse on it and sell the 115 for 4K and sell the boat for the $4000 it's worth.
I know the "L" drives from around 89' are something to stay away from here. I don't have anything against Bayliners, they made some great fishing boats. The other thing I wanted to say is I wouldn't buy a boat that went through the rigors of towing skiers and tubes.
