Unless maybe there's something I'm missing about fishing boats...? When I think fishing boats, I think wood seats in an aluminum hull. No steering wheel. Not conducive to social hour lol
... at $1,300 if you're able to boat two seasons on it before anything major breaks you'll have gotten your money out of it. It's one of the better "gambles" I've seen. Definately worth a close look. That Sea Sprite really looks like a winner. I think that's a non-electric shift '73 Evinrude not only because of the hood decals I looked at early, but looking now I see 2 control cables going to it which wouldn't be the case on a '72 electric shifter. Good motor. There's easily $1300 worth of stuff there. I suppose worst case would be it's rotted but it appears to have been cared for.
I saw these 3 on Sioux City Craigslist, not sure if these are in your ballpark:
1985 Larson Citation DC-175 17'
16' 1992 VIP Deck Boat Evinrude 90hp
17' 1994 Star Craft Open Bow 1700 Great Shape For The Age
Sorry guys, been a little busy cleaning up tree branches. Haven't had power, so no internet and no charging my phone. Power came back on overnight and luckily I'd put my phone on the charger just in case so it's fully charged. Power's back off, though. Oh, South Dakota in the spring. 80 degrees last year, ultra damage inducing ice storm this year. Luckily, we just have a power line down in our back yard (been letting the dog out on a flexi-lead anyways, just in case a branch were to fall), a damaged fence, to trees that are probably a total loss, and a ton of branches down. I would post pictures, but I don't know how hahahaha!
Anyways, I think I'm going to hold off at least until we get a chance to clean up the 6-10" we're supposed to get today and tomorrow. I probably won't really be ready to look again until next weekend, by the time we get everything cleaned up and going back to normal.
