Re: Man v. Wildlife . . .
My gag reflex just kicked in. Hack, Hack.
Yeah, I had to choke it down a little, but it was actually tasty . . . It has always been a little weird for me cleaning things (animals) that are warm . . . Fish, are cold and eating that had never bugged me, but for some reason the snake, although very tasty, didn't go down very easy . . .
Hey QC. Nobody turned you in fro popping off a few rounds in LA?
Yeah, I was nervous, I was gathering up the spent shells in case I got a knock on the door. We are pretty high up in our hills, and there is a good slope that runs up from my backyard fence, so it was at least somewhat safe and I don't think the sound traveled very far. I wanted to use my 12 guage . . .
I also struggled with what messages I was sending to the boys . . . The good side was Daddy takin' care of business, the bad side was pulling out the .22 in the city of course . . I have a decent pellet gun, but I'm out of pellets. That's what I usually use to dispatch critters. The final decision for me was that I did not want to find out how far this thing could strike from, and I didn't want to just scare him back through the fence since the wife would then not let the dogs out etc . . .
yeah!..and next time you tell that story QC jus stay it was one shot!
Oh, trust me, I struggled saying five, but he was bleeding after one and then he was on the move, so I don't feel that bad. The last shot was flippin' beautiful BTW. . . almost didn't need the axe . . .
