Minn Kota Endura 40 acting funny?

Hey guys, I got a Minn Kota Endura 40 for my birthday a few years ago and it has run great but lately it has been acting funny. We hook it up to the battery and it makes a funny noise and barely spins. My friends tell me the motor has just burned out. I'm hoping its not this. But If anyone can tell me ANYTHING about this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

It could be toast, I would pull the prop and check for fishing line behind it first.

^^^ Yup, pull the prop and see what it looks like underneath. Turn it on with the prop removed and see how it runs, check shaft for run-out,,, being bent. If your prop is banged up, it will make the motor run bad and vibrate a lot, might need to be replaced, $20.

I really doubt this is the problem, but check the power cables too, loose corroded connections.

I did take off the prop and there was some line behind it but once i removed it, it is still making a funny winding noise.

is there any way i can take the prop and the thing prop thing apart

So does this mean it will no longer work? I noticed the Brush Assembly was messed up. Can i just replace it?

you can try to clean it up soak good with some pb buster
i dont no if the armature can be reused or not

So i just got the brushes in, i put them in. it runs but makes a loud winding noise. Any Ideas?
