That makes sense, I was kinda hoping someone would say ultra rare cannon mounting brackets. Thanks! They are brakets to hold a fiberglass or wood "bow" to hold a boat cover up for rain drainage.
So my new to me 1978 16ft. SS is throwing me some loops. So I will post a few pics with whats it do questions and how can I make this work . This first pic is this little channel thing mounted to transom. Has the fish finder sonar mounted to it. Is this a factory item?View attachment 130251

10 cool points for GA on that super awesome response![]()
I am not sure what a stern bracket is, any pictures?Iv seen a lot of 16 SS boats and thats new to me mabey I will learn something also. The steering will have to hafe a stern brakket to allow you to connect to the motor with an attaschment Like a quick release I think .
Thanks GA this is starting to make some form of sense. The motor has never been mounted to this boat and thatbracket was just a part I pulled off a parts boat once upon a time, so I am not sure what I need. By looking at the Teleflex pdf link posted it looks like all I will need is the support sleeve part#SA27274P. Would you agree?
