SuperNova,

I've been thinking about your post above. You should probably identify who you think is full of carp, so those that aren't will not be mistakenly disregarded ;)

:D Oh Yeah it has to be you....................:p

He's just a young guy ready to change the world........remeber those day'?????????:D

Re: New Engine Design

It may have impressed me IF he had ran it on fuel, and NOT used it as an air motor. Lets see it run! Lets see it work! I wanna see that shaft pop into like an over streched rubber band ;) :D

Re: New Engine Design

I'm leary on this idea. As menitoned about the output shaft size, mounting the motor is going to need some serious motor mounts. If the prototype is to be equilivant to a big 6cyl diesel, it is going to need some ample mounts to handle the counter rotation of the torque generated.

I'm sure there is lots of things not shown or done to help keep some of their secrets. Could be why it is not shown pulling a load.

Re: New Engine Design

The size of the output shaft is directly related to the load you intend to put against it, and indirectly related to the actual power of the engine. If you were going to drive a kids wagon with that thing, it would work fine as is, but if you were going to drive a 1 ton truck, you would probably need a bigger shaft. Second, I'm not that young anymore, and I'm not out to change anything or anybody.:D Third, I never say anybody is full of carp, just poorly informed. Lastly, there are no stupid questions, just stupid people.:D Just Kidding on the last one.

And I was just suggesting that some of us might actually know what we are talking about ;)

Re: New Engine Design

The realy big problem i see is the out put shaft could not handle that kind of horse power. The other thing is i dont thing that unit could produce the torque needed to run heavy equitment with out a 1000 speed trany. There goes you power weight ratio.

Re: New Engine Design

Again, I think it's BS, but . . . a prototype or concept proving example does not necessarily have to demonstrate the theoretical max output. It would be awesome if it made 100 bhp . . .

Oh, I'm absolutely positive every one of you know what you're talking about. It's just that I sometimes don't know what some of you are talking about. You see, the real problem is all mine. :D

Re: New Engine Design

lets see it run on fuel, any fuel NOT compressed air
Lets see it pull a load, any load
can it work, sure why not
can it get the fuel economy they claim, maybe, maybe not (I think NOT)
can it produce the HP and torque they claim, I dout it, maybe we'll see

IF it gets even close we'll be seeing them in things soon,,,,
along with new cars setting on the side of the road :D

Re: New Engine Design

He mentioned in part of his spiel he is hoping to attract investors. ie raise money.

My hunch is he will do that, as everything seems to be in place for attracting people that think this is a get rich quick idea.

It probably will work, for the promoters, at least.
