Hello Gentlemen, I'm brand new here and want to say I'm VERY impressed. Everyone's knowledge of boats is very helpful. So, thank you. I just bought my 79 starcraft 14 fishing boat a month ago. She's in mint condition but needs minor adds and minimal repair. I have a 30 HP Rude, running like a dream. Thanks to a good friend/mechanic.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and thank you. I plan on searching your expertise soon and often.

'79 is a great vintage for Starcraft aluminum boats, I love my '79 SS.

Nice rig, love the high sides, Evinrude, CMC bracket and the bimini. Pretty nice combo there, I'm sure she's fun to cruise around with

BTW the model name is Seafarer, they came in 14'3" in length it looks like.

With the bright yellow 00 buck shells stashed away in his vest, he sits on the stump, the Mossberg laid lovingly across his lap as if it was his old lab DUKE from his childhood...CBK pets DUKE's barrel lovingly for a moment...
Looks ProMach in the eye and barely whispers "Ya done good Kid" as a Marlboro Red magically appears between his cracked, sun beaten lips..

You guys crack me up. Thanks for all the congrats on the "Lady Lisa". The boat is originally from Marco Island area(brakish/salt water), and VERY well cared for. I bought her from the nephew of the second owner. I stumbled on her through "c-list". The motor was in tough shape so I had a buddy/marine mechanic go through her up and down. Howerever the "trailering brackets" were missing and the po had a piece of wood holding it up. He suggested the CMC power lift unit. Almost the same price. If you ever need one... its awesome. The PO also had some cheapo plywood on the deck, looked horrible. So last weekend they came out. This weekend Im going to concentrate on the trailer. I have New bearings, hubs, buddies, and REAL size 12 inch tires. Pics to follow on separate thread. I also made a bracket for light,tilt,& live well switches.

Mine is actually called 13'9" i belive. She is Awesome to cruise. Almost too fast. Thnx Huron, for the compliment.
