If it absolutely makes no sense and acts like magic; you have a ground problem!

After many years of chasing the same kind of "ghosts" the OP is reporting, I gave up on trailer frame grounds and ran a ground wire to each trailer light from the connector and guess what? No more lighting issues or problems!

e-mail from CURT(John, sounds like you are having the same issue with the new one as the old one. The new one was tested 100% before it left here. Is this the case?).,,,that all I got so far.might take a few days at this rate..............

i agree with uncle willie replace convertor.If lights work if jeep harness is bypassed. it has to adapter convertor. i have had bolted trailers and welded. its not a bad idea to run seperate grounds on bolted trailers.I have worked with low voltrage most of my life Im an ASE master auto tech.Do you have access to a FLuke 88 multi-meter,its about a 400.00 dollar tool. but it has a min-max feature,it can record minamum and maximum voltage on a curcuit. could be helpful in finding poor connection. but I still feel its the convertor

been working a lot of hours this past week and have not had time with this trailer..............its a welded hydra-sport trailer,still working with curt but still no answer

I have gave up on curt.........I cut the wire going to the amber brake and blinker lights and all seems to be working...I am still going to replqace the converter so I can run all lights....going to get a converter will a seperate wire that runs to the battery...the bite is on with the crappie and don't have time to keep working on the trailer over 60 fish in past 2 trips
