Re: No vocals coming thru on Amp?
Its all or nothing in most cases. The cheap cords often have an odd 3.5mm end that doesnt plug fully into some devices. After looking at the amp kit he has, I am thinking the problem is the 3.5mm plug not fully connecting to the device, this allows the common to make with one of the audio paths. inside the source device.
Well said friend.
I have a brand new Kenwood head unit in my truck and I also use a 3.5mm to play direct from my mp3 player. I got the 3.5mm cord with my Sirius radio and just used it for my mp3....blah blah blah. Here's my point; the 3.5mm cord got cut so I went to Radio Shack to buy a new one. There were ones that costed 15 dollars and ones that costed 3 dollars. I figured I'd save a few bucks and just get the cheap one. Well, the NEW 3.5mm cord doesn't work properly. The sounds are extremely distorted and unrecognizable. I'm no genius but I think certain cords only have the capability to handle certain-"bits"-of sound.
Hope this helps buddy!
