This made me laugh. Years ago my wife and I were in a place called the million dollar cowboy bar in Jackson Wyoming. It was early afternoon on a weekday. Was us and another couple in the place I later found out were farmers from Texas. We were having lunch when the bar tender got mouthy with this guy from Texas. That Texan flattened the bartender in an instant. Lucky his wife settled him down. Guy was a mountain of a human being. Wife and I got lunch AND a showOff topic and late to the show but this reminded me of a guy in a bar one night that for no reason decided to punch the bar keep. The cops showed and it took 7 cops to take this guy down and get him in the car. His last words before they closed the door were Obviously you guys aren’t from Texas.

We trolled from Claville Bay (Lake Mead) where we launched from and stopped in Fire Bowl Cove for breakfast where we fished anchovies from the shore, the pic above. A few small bites, but nothing big enough to catch.Very nice
Thanks Joe but the only way Im getting out of this dump ( grass is greener again ) is if I win Lotto .Well if you ever make it here to TN,doors open. I've had internet boat forum friends from three countries and many states.
Perch might be a boring fish to catch, but they are just so good to eat ! My family can't get enough of them. Here in the great lakes we have many species to fish for, most are excellent table fare but some are more for sport. I do a little sport fishing for fun, Mabry one day, I will land that big one, but in the mean time, I am busy enough trying to feed the family that I don't have time to play and my stomach growls to let me know we need more perch.....lol.....ugh , jealous . Im bored with trout and perch , I mean they are great sport but I think I would like to try and fish for a new species , one with different habits a new adversary if you like . Grass is greener I guess , I cant figure why we get so many Americans comming here to fish when all we got is trout and the odd salmon . The hydro lakes in Canterbury and the associated fish farms are turning out some huge trout .....like 20 + lbs so if catching one of the biggest trout in the world is your thing then here is the place to do it ......but it really is like fishing in a barrel.
Nice photo's guys![]()

Same here in Ohio, fished for catfish and perch, got my first boat at 13 and started serious perch fishing. The old guy at the fish cleaners took me under his wing and taught me how to fillet them. 75 years later and they are still number one on my list !!That was our main fish in Oregon when I was a kid
