I guess the thought that it is easier to have them running than to try, and start them. I was wondering what most do - I guess if you had an old single it would make since. I know newer motors are real dependable.no, and I'm at a loss as to why you would want to keep your motors running.
Maybe to maintain position or troll over or around a fishing structure, rather than anchoring?Is it common practice to keep your motors running while offshore ?
I didn?t realize you had them so close in up there. I would be tickled to only go out 20 miles.around here we go 20-30 miles out to sea no land in sight... not up or down the coast......

For us, better count of 30-35 miles, 60 to the canyons with the exception of last winter. Last winter they were right on the beach for 5-6 weeks. Lots of them inside the 3 mile zone. Played havoc with the Striper fishing![]()
