it has been removed someone put a threaded rod with a couple of nuts in there..Is the trim pin in the hole closest to the transom ??-----If it is it is normal.
it's been removed... it's not there... all hole are empty..In what hole ?

Make up your mind.it's been removed... it's not there... all hole are empty..
OK let be a little more clear if I can... someone had used a threaded rod instead of the factory pin, you with me so far?.. I removed the threaded rod, it is on the bench away from the motor... there is no rod threaded or not in any of the holes.. there is no rod.. again "ALL THE HOLES ARE EMPTY...NO ROD" lol I can't believe you misunderstood me.. you must be joking right?Make up your mind.
Which hole is the rod in?
Thank you!!your stand is straight up, your transom is angled.
no man it's 90* that's why I asked if it was normal.. thought someone might have changed the transom mount/swivel or something.. Thanks for all your help, I'll try and be more clear with any more questions I may have..Driveshaft does appear to be at an angle.----But propshaft appears to be horizontal.------Part of the way these motors were designed ?----I would call it normal per post #4
Ok I'm sure it is... just looks extreme to me is all.. even with the difference in shaft angle it still seems like a lot.. I see the angle is not 90 I just checked it using the cyl. head as a guide... in the picture, the long silver straight edge is parallel with the cylinder dead (I assume the cylinder head is parallel with the crankshaft).. The rusty square is parallel with the fin (not sure what you call it) and I assume that fin is parallel with the output shaft/propeller... the yellow level is plumb.. So yes it looks like the two shafts are in fact not at a 90* angle I once assumed.. boy glad we figured that out.. it just looks like a lot of angle clamped to the stand...Can you see that the driveshaft and propshaft are NOT at 90 degrees to each other ?----Transom on a boat is not plumb , it is normally around 12 degrees.----It is NOT straight up and down.------Your motor looks normal to me.
