What Primer did you apply ? erm.. Primer on Primer without sanding .. ( If you have time to post here then you might be out of time to 3 coat primer .. )
I've seen examples of paint jobs done with rustoeum and they are unbelievable! Looks like it came from a professional shop but it was done with a roller and buffed out.
Yep you can wet sand the primer about 4 hours after applying. You should be able to put first Finish Coat on this evening. The Rustoleum Primer Flashes pretty quick especially with the acteone thinner.
I used exactly what I was told to use. Rust-o primer especially for the paint I bought. I do have another question in spots the primer looked like gritty looking on boat I'm sure its the way I was spraying can u tell me what I was doing wrong or do I need to adjust the sprayed?
Sounds like you need to clean the gun. The Paint will SET UP in the air outlets in the nozzle and can cause it not to Fan the Paint right. Gotta watch it close. Keep a damp acetone rag on hand and keep wiping the nozzle frequently to keep it clear.
Ok thanks. I finished second coat of primer. Gonna let it sit tonight gonna go out on river awhile. I cleaned gun an am soaking it in mineral spirits over night. Tomorrow start painting. I will take pictures tomorrow. I always forget too excited about getting it done. Should I not do anything in-between coats of paint?
