I have a 15 foot ski boat that is trailered. Paint is pretty knackered so want to give it a respray.
Im wanting to rub back the top layer of paint with a 400 grit sandpaper and then hit the boat with Hi-Fill primer.
Rubbing the boat back to get a smooth layer and then spraying on the topcoat and clear (clear is going to have Poly*Flake)
Im only planning on doing an "on trailer" respray for aesthetics only.
Is there any special kind of primer i would need to use? Would 400grit sandpaper be OK to rough up the paint for adhesion?
TIA
