When I unplugged the connector from my engine, (85 5.7 Mercruiser)
one of the pin pulled out of the male connector.
Is there anywhere I can buy individual pins to repair this connector?

Thanks,
Danny

I've never seen 1 listed,..... Only as a Wiring Harness.......

You could either find 1 out of a Junker,.....
Or,....
Try to cut your's apart,+ solder it back together......

Here's a pigtail on the instrument side of the harness:

Fix it for about 89 cents. Cut the wire at the plug for the pin that broke. Cut the corresponding wire at the other connector. Install an insulated, gel filled bullet connector (male on one wire/female on the other). plug the two together and away you go.

That's probably what I'll do.
We fix the connectors here all the time with new pins,,, I bet we have 2,000
different pins for GM connectors.

Just hoping I could do it like we do the GM units and keep the harness looking
clean.

You could probably do that if the plug was of the type that allows individual pins to be removed.

That particular plug is designed specifically to be completely potted and sealed permanently which sort of prevents repair. You just have to replace it. And if you don't want spliced wires you'll have to replace the whole harness.

For what it is worth, even though I posted the link with the pigtail harness... I wouldn't buy a pigtail. I would either do what Silvertip recommends, or I would search on the auction sites for a new wiring harness. I just bought/won one for $32 plus shipping. It is a "new in the box" harness from Mercruiser which even includes the terminals for all the gauges. Can't beat that! :)
