hey guys I think I have thought and read myself in circles on this one.

I am about to change props on my rig. I currently run a 16p ss prop on my
f100. great for water sports and such but not great for just cruising around. SO I am going to order a Turning Point prop from Iboats, but go up in pitch. I ran a buddies 19p ss on my motor and it ran really well. Took my wot prm to about 5700 and 42 on GPS. But I know aluminum is different.

Should I take the AL to an even higher pitch to achieve sam rpm and speed since it flexes and such?

My rpm range is 5000-6000. And I am just trying to optimize cruising speed and efficiancy for the motor, with a light load.
Thanks

Re: pitch change

All I can tell you is the Turning Points are for real. There have been a number of favorable reports here.Any time you change material you introduce more variables.I would go with the 19 Its better to be a little underpropped than to go to far and lug the motor.

Re: pitch change

Well the big diferance between alum and ss is that thw alum prop is going to have some flex to it but the ss isnt, you r also looking at a diffeance in wight witch will also make a diferance. But in the end I would have to agree with "steelesike" on this one. If you go up too much your motor just isnt going to hit the RPM it should. The 19 should be good, the differance isnt going to be "night and day" but you will notice. Good Luck
