Question for Dhadley

I put the replacement lower unit on my 175 johnson and am re-using the same bolts.The bolt that goes in before you mount the trim tab is now too short. Is it possible the new lower is not recessed as much at that bolt hole? I removed the other bolts thinking one maybe a little longer but thats not it. The big bolt with the 5/8 head right next to this bolt hole works fine.Should i just get a longer bolt or will the larger one hold it ok and not put a bolt in that hole? Strange..

I had my LU off the other day and I noticed that the bolt under the trim tab was missing. Certainly doesn't seem to bother it any.

A longer one will work or leave it out. As mentioned lots of them are missing. I'd just get a longer one so it's there.
