I have a 1990 Cruisers Inc, with twin MercCruiser 454's - 300hp each. Last year as well as this startup, I noticed that the port moter doesn't seem to be charging... only 12v on the gague... the Stbd engine regularly goes to 13v+.
Is this normal and is there an easy way to test if its a gauge issue or if the alternator is bad... or is it the regulator... The wire seem to go into the firewall to a pair of metal boxs with aluminum heat sinks on them... Where is the best place to take a Voltage reading from...?
