Saw this boat last year once, it popped up again near my MIL's house.

I was intrigued by the bow steering wheel. Today my son and I stopped when I saw the boat.

Had a great talk with the owner who told me how the boat used to have a Merc 650 on it and when he was young they would fish and ski with the boat. The LU froze one year and cracked, he replaced it but it never ran the same. It ended up sitting in the back yard for many many years.

Last summer he and his son drug the boat out of the back yard and modified it for duck hunting and river fishing.

They installed a 20" transom for a long shaft 25 hp Merc. I notice they used pressure treated 2x12 on it and warned him about the corrosion that is occurring as we spoke.

Here it is, can anyone ID the model. A non-hint is the serial number ends with 21.

My first guess is a Jet or Jet Star. Something in the 14-15 foot range. I guess it doesn't leak since she's holding a lot of water.

If not a Jet/Jet-Star, maybe a falcon?

What's the angle-iron bow-protrusion used for? guessin' it has somethin' to do with the rusty chain!

Wow, almost as good as Jason's jet bowectomy! I think Ga hit it on the head. Find your length and there's your model. 15' = Jet, 14' = Holiday or Falcon.

You gonna' buy it or are you just admiring the handywork?

Yeas it needs to be tipped bow up for sure.

The angle iron is for the anchor cable, the chain is the river anchor.

Just admiring the work. I thought the steering in the bow was pretty cool. Seems like it would help navigate the perils in the river a little easier. It's a cable / pulley set up.

14'er It's a Falcon.

The bow trim came from other parts of the boat that were removed.

I think they did a nice job on the project.

I'll have to look and see if they saved the windshield. There were two in a fg hull that should be disposed of.

No big prize to the contestants, actually no prize at all. Lots of lookers very few guesses.:behindsofa:

Have a great day.:D
