Hello guys I back again for the same problem, my regal 2100 take long time to get on plane some time I ask passengers to move to front seat which that will help.
I changed fuel injectors and spark plugs with wires, and replaced the zip cap distributer cap, replaced the fuel pump, I did compression test they between 120 to 150 while engine cold, checked the lower unit oil is good, checked the lower unit screw if have a metal debris it was clear. Also I put new propeller , I just need to put new engine lol.
This usually happened after spending 40 minutes at the lake when engine is still cold boat get on plane with no problem , but after 40 minutes this issue will start .
Please LMK what could be the problem ??? 😭

Your compression numbers below 130 psi would be concerning.

Please list the numbers

Also, what is your fuel pressure?

What is your holeshot procedure?

Fuel pressure maintaining 50 psi with WOT , wide open throttle,
My hole shore procedure like always, trip lower unit all the way down and take off . I use this technique always and i don’t have issue with get in plane before, by the way
Today on the lake I made WOT and I have 5100 RPM with fuel pressure 50 PSI .
I will get back to you with the exact number of the compression test .

Thank you my friend 🙏🙏🙏

What engine, outdrive, outdrive gear ratio, and prop are you running?

Propeller 15x17
I was not running I put it on WOT by click the clutch like when you put your car on natural and hit the gasoline pad.

When the engine heats up to normal hot temperature.
what is the idle temperature ? What is the temperature with the throttle lever pushed all the way open and the motor struggling ?
If you push the motor trim to all the way down ? Some drives can actually go past straight down. And actually tuck the prop to slightly forward and up.
Does the boat do the same struggling if you are alone in the boat and warmed up ?

This is the fuel pump I installed last year i ordered it from Amazon , do you think this happening because it’s not the OEM ?
no, I think you are down on power because you have cylinders in the 120 psi range.

post the cranking psi for each cylinder. if you have two cylinders next to each other, you could have an exhaust valve issue from a leaking manifold.

also, post your fuel pressure readings under load at WOT. that is in gear, throttle mashed, preferably coming out of the hole. this will tell you if you have a fuel flow / pressure issue.

This is a 5.0L 270HP FI Volvo? If so...I'd be double checking that fuel pump.

I say that as mine went in the Four Winns - same engine. The cost of the pump alone, from Volvo was $1k. This is one area I would not cheap out on. The cost of the Amazon unit makes me pause.

So you think fuel pump could be the problem because it’s not OEM ????

I think it *may* be part of your issue if it can't supply enough fuel to the engine.

Given the price point (at 1/10th the cost of OEM) and suspect manufacturer...I'd be checking that.

When mine went, there was an audible noise where you would hear it run, the noise would stop, the engine would die. It was a very nasty idle out from the ramp and back trying not to get hit from the folks behind me.

fuel pressure taken at WOT will determine iff you have a fuel pump issue.

since your compression is iffy based on post #1. you need to do a good job taking compression readings with a good gauge.

then you need to take fuel pressure at WOT under load. 50 psi is the bottom of the spec. pic in post #3 was taken in WOT in neutral. the motor burns maybe 2 drops of fuel in neutral, where it burns 20 gallons an hour at WOT under load
