In order to free a frozen tilt tube, I need to lift a 200hp Johnson (Looper)
where can I find the tool to attach to the flywheel for pulling?
checked all the local marinas.

thanks

I'm not an expert but there should be a bracket bolted onto the block. I would not lift the motor up by the fly wheel.

If you get a cheap harmonic balancer removal tool, put a lifting eye where the center bolt goes, then get 3 bolts that screw into the holes in the flywheenl that are used for lifting and removing the flywheel, you will be in business for about 25 bucks,Be sure to get hardened bolts and tighten enough to remove all play.Or try ebay under motor acessories/tools

My 150HP Johnny Looper has cast in lifting points near the starter and opposite in the rear port side. I used a chain and some bolts to fasten it to the motor, and hung it from the header of my garage door. The motor is about 450# or so.

another possibility, get a new flywheel nut, take your old one off and have someone weld a U to top of nut, i have seen it done with chain as well,be sure your welder is good

Just to avoid confusion - the 200 looper does not have a bracket bolted to the block like a V4 crossflow nor does it have the cast in loops like on the 60* blocks. Unfortunately.

Mikesea's on the right track for the 90* looper.
