Wow looks great PD. I know I will have to replace my deck, probably stingers and I hope not the transom on my 86 Galaxie. I have been reviewing yours and Frisco's work and it seems quite daunting. I just wish I could get started so I could finish already. Way too much rain in Nor Cal for this kind of work. Great write up guys...

I try to stay away from saguaro, to busy and the launch lines can be a bit crazy for me.
This is at Canyon lake.
If you go down the inerstate 60 a little farther to idaho road and turn left, follow the signs to Lost dutcmans mines. That will lead you to Apache trail. Apache trail will take you to canyon, apache and roseavelt. In that order.
If you go to apache lake your in for a crazy drive.I like to go their sometimes just to scare the kids but the drive makes my wife sick, its a great road.
Canyon is not any farther than saguaro. Nice lake but there can be alot of debrie so you do have to be carefull.
Have fun and maybe see ya their someday.

I heard canyon lake was really nice...I've never been there...Is the road to apache a lot of hill climbing? I heard before its all dirt and really bumpy...I could never figure out how to get to apache or roosevelt thx for the info...My 2WD silverado does ok pulling my boat...If the road to apache is all uphill I don't think I would try it in my truck...

Your truck will make the ride just fine.
Yes the road turns into a one lane dirt road and you have a 600 ft drop on one side and a sheared cliff on the other with what looks like cardboard side rails at the 180 degree turns and then you got trucks pulling their boats and the rvs are trying to sqeeze by you and at certain points in the road if that happens, someones backing up and that gets a little scarey.
You can see were some vechiles have gone over the cliff, fun , fun , fun.
Canyon is a great lake, never to crowded. Can't ever remember any launch lines and it has a picnic area that is only accesable by boat.

I made a swim platform for the boat.
I hope the kids will enjoy it.
Still have to get the brackets made but tell me what you think.

Thanks Rick.

It weights 50# and cost right at 70$.Thats with the ss bolts and sealer. Better than paying 600$ for one.
