Required outboard Cranking Amps...

I purchased a boat with a 150 HP Mercury. According to the manual, it requires a 650 Cold Cranking Amps battery. The boat currently have a 1000 Cold Cranking Amps battery. Will this bigger battery affect the motor or electrical system ??

No you will be fine, the 650 is the minimum needed or recommended, does not hurt to have extra capacity.
