Re: Saddam captured

Same with Osama. I think he shouldn't be found dead or alive. Either way could spell trouble.
So you think we should just leave him to do what it is he wants to do??

Scary thought & interesting point of view.

Re: Saddam captured

I just think we should have popped him right there and don't tell anyone.

Alive, he gives reason for the resistance to keep going.
Dead, he's a marter and gives reason for the resistance to keep going.

See what I mean? Maybe we should have made him disappear?

Guess I should have worded it better... sorry

I'm all for catching the POS. String his a$$ from the highest statue as far as I care.

Re: Saddam captured

If we pop him & do not tell anyone than that would mean he is still alive to the rest of the world and followers.

Re: Saddam captured

JB said it well.
It is great to continue plastering the pics of Saddam all over the world, to show the "matrys" just what they are "matrying" themselves for.

He is an honest & decent man.

I am in the armed forces and I will tell you I would give my life for this country in a second and I would have a lot easier time doing it for Bush than I would have for clinton.

When he cried at his Thanksgiving dinner with the troops that was true feelings. Not a political stunt.

Yes, I thought of that too...

OOPS! GRENADE!

But seriously...

With so many crimes...How would you go about prosecuting him?

Lock him up and study him?
Put him in general lock-up?
Make him bust rocks the rest of his life?
Lead poisoning?

Lock him up with Michael Jackson? :D

I don't know about the rest of you, but I save historical newspaper clippings for my kids.
Monday's paper should be a good one for history.(Areas that only produce 1 paper per day anyways)

H.

Re: Saddam captured

Ladyfish, that was priceless! LOL!!

Plywoody, you forgot one Iraqi faction vying for power, and it happens to be the majority by a vast amount, according to the Sheik (don't 'membr his name) that was just on the news.
This party doesn't want any more Saddamns. They had enough of them after the last one, to even entertain the thought of installing a brand new tryant.
Unlike what Aljazeera claims, the majority wish to be the majority, and live in freedom. They actually
want the Americans there, at least until thier own government is self-operational. Nothing America does, short of becomming tyranical themselves, will change that iether.
As JB said, this thing is far from over. I predict kidnappings and hostage-taking operations to begin on a scale not seen in recorded history! As long as the tyrant breathes air, he is both a tool for the coalition, and a "cause" for his droogies. I.E., "To hell with Ala,they have our leader!"
But We lead by example in a lot of ways, Plywoody. The world is watching how a true democracy, in the midst of battle, treats it's ememy's primary leader as POW.
We intend to turn this walking piece of excrement over to an Iraqi court, for trial.
According to existing Iraqi law, the death penalty does not exist, so it is not likely that Saddm will be executed----unless Iraq changes thier laws, or makes an exception in the case of this most evil of men.
The Coalition will have nothing to do with his disposition. I only wish it wern't so, and he would go the route of Hitler, and off himself.
I also hope it doesn't happen until we get the facts on WMD and the rest of it from the mutant's mouth.
But in my Country (America), we are celebrating his capture.

Re: Saddam captured

Well...there's hope for humanity after all :) - the once all-powerful tyrant gets dealt to, despite all the protestations and reasons not to act from the liberal masses throughout the world...

It will be good to see him get final justice from his own countrymen. That will be less likely to make him a martyr than suicide or an American execution.
