Hi, I have a 1982 sears gamefisher 9.9 hp engine and I have some overheating problems. I just replaced the gaskets and sprayed a high pressure hose through
the cooling passages and cleaned them out. It runs fine and water shoots out of the telltale at idle to half throttle in drive, but when you go any faster it stops shooting water and is replaced by steam out
of the telltale. I think that somehow water isn't getting sucked up through the pickups for some reason at this faster speed, which is probably like 20. When I checked out the pickup holes on the lower unit they were clean and you could see through them.
Any other ideas on how to fix this problem.
Thanks Alot,
Matt
