Floor is mounted down and im at a point where I need to decide what im going to do for seating. I have these 2 really beat up back 2 back seats, the kind that lay down. Im thinking about building wooden boxes out of plywood and mounting 2 high back marine seats back 2 back on top of the base. I dont need these seats to lay down as im using the boat mostly for fishing. The boat is a 72 Sea Ray SRV 180 outboard (18'). Im open for any other suggestions as far as seating layout. As of now my plan is to build those boxes and mount 2 nice seats back to back on eachother and glassing the ply boxes with glass mat, then L bracketing them to the floor. So it will be 2 of those back 2 back on eather side and 1 single matching seat on eather side of the splashwell. This will provide 6 seats and also hopefully provide enough floor space for fishing. Like i said im open for any suggestions. I attached pictures of one of the back to back seats that i want to replace.
