Shift assist.

When I was replacing lower shift cable with my brother, we removed the shift assist unit. It that part adjustable or we can put it rith back, put the cotter pins and that is all?

It's not adjustable, but the cables are.

Thank you. Yes, as far ad cables I know. I will have to play with them. I just downloaded a manual for alpah 1 gen 2 which is a good thing. A bad thing is that it has 673 pages :mad:

Go to the pages with the adjustment process. Do it that way and you won't be back with problems.
Follow their sequence and it's the least work-done right.

Not so bad if you look at the index, look for section 2, REMOVAL, INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENT

I also put this together from the manual.

Video's do let you get an idea of what you are going to be doing. But, you need to take manual procedures, print them out and take them to the boat. Then follow them exactly if you want things to work.
